The girls, Alabama
It’s always nice to visit Alabama because I get to see our friends Paula and Josh, and their two little ones Sadie and Sophie. We’re an odd combination really, and when I’m in Alabama people always ask “how did you become friends with Josh and Paula?” Josh is an endodontist and Paula is an optometrist. I’m a photographer and Meggan is a teacher, so I understand their curiosity. When we were pregnant with our first child Molly, we went to a birthing class at a local hospital. Josh and Paula were in the same class with us, and Paula was a bubbly ball of energy with a southern accent – I told Meggan she should get to know her because they’d hit it off. Now here we are 4 years later and the two of them are best friends. Meggan and Paula have to talk on the phone now that Josh and Paula have moved back to Alabama to start their practices (Josh was finishing up school when they were living here in Indiana) but the trips to Target late at night when the girls were in bed built a strong enough friendship that seeing each other a few times a year and going on vacation together every summer keeps them just as close as if they still lived here. We miss you guys, see you soon though.
